CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for George A. Harrison of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. J.L. Laughlin will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Harrison, 82, died Thursday, May 5, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 13, 1912, in Salem, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Harrison. He and Dorothy Gail Pemberton Moore were married Dec. 21, 1957. She died June 27, 1980.
Harrison received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a stepson, Steve Moore of Charleston; a brother, Bill Harrison of Salem, and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
