SIKESTON -- Genevieve Ozment, 85, of the Fountainbleu Lodge in Cape Girardeau, formerly of Sikeston, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 17, 1909, at Frederick, Okla., the daughter of Ross and Mildred Anna Mueller Trousdale.

On Dec. 24, 1938, in Sikeston she married Donald Ray Ozment, who preceded her in death June 19, 1951.

She had been a bookkeeper and secretary for the Farmers Mutual Insurance Co. After retirement she was a foster grandmother and worked at the New Dawn State School and Southeast Elementary School here. She was a member of the Eagles auxiliary in Sikeston.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Parks, Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Clara Cummins and Mary Helen Stroud, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel here.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Bill Burke, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Cape Girardeau, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery here.
