PARMA -- Funeral service for Geneva W. South of Parma will be held at 2 p.m. today at Lotta Union General Baptist Church here. The Revs. Billy Hamlett and Terry Williams will officiate, with burial in Stanfield Cemetery near Clarkton.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma is in charge of arrangements.
South, 62, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 21, 1932, in Kennett, daughter of Fred and Noval E. Baker Newell. She and George R. South were married Oct. 29, 1948.
South had lived here 38 years. She had been postmaster at Parma, and was a member of Lotta Union Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gary South of Taylor, Mich., Randall South of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, John Newell of Crown Point, Ind., David Newell of Sedalia; a sister, Shelby Blair of O'Fallon, and two grandchildren.
