MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Geneva Sue Dover, 75, of Mound City passed away at 7:47 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at her home, surrounded by family.
Sue was born June 16, 1942, in Mississippi County, Missouri, daughter of the late Charles E. Manker and Florence Nolan Manker.
Sue was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City. She was a housewife and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Glenn Dover on Aug. 15, 1990; and two brothers, Joe and Charles Manker.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony (Amanda) Dover of Villa Ridge, Illinois, Mark (Shona) Dover of Villa Ridge and Chris Dover of Mound City; a daughter, Marita (Mike) Garrett of Olmsted, Illinois; two brothers, Jim Manker of Chaffee, Missouri, and Johnny Manker of Inverness, Florida; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Interment will follow in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City.
