JACKSON -- Geneva Marie Schwartz, 74, of Jackson died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in the Emergency Room at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. JACKSON -- Geneva Marie Schwartz, 74, of Jackson died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in the Emergency Room at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Jackson, daughter of Lloyd and Ruby M. Christy Hitt. She and Vincent Schwartz were married June 25, 1942, in Cape Girardeau.

Schwartz was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, its St. Ann's Sodality and Quilting Club; Roberts Homemakers Club; SEMO District Fair Board; American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and Knights of Columbus auxiliaries.

She had been a leader with Roberts 4-H Club, served as superintendent at the 4-H camp at Wappapello several years, and was a volunteer at Missouri Veterans Home.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Frederick Schwartz of Florissant; four daughters, Victoria Moore and Cynthia Bollinger of Millersville, Jennifer Sharp of Jackson, Rebecca Scharenborg of Chicago; a sister, Geraldine Crandall of Cahokia, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Church, with Msgr. Edward Eftink and the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
