PUXICO -- Geneva S. Crawford, 84, of Kansas City, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 1995, at Truman Medical Center East in Kansas City. She was born Feb. 19, 1911, in Puxico, daughter of William and Bertie M. Brimer Stapp. She and Willard Smith were married Jan. 14, 1934. He died Aug. 31, 1938. She later married Hadley T. Crawford Sept. 28, 1945, in Jonesboro, Ark. He died Dec. 22, 1969...

PUXICO -- Geneva S. Crawford, 84, of Kansas City, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 1995, at Truman Medical Center East in Kansas City.

She was born Feb. 19, 1911, in Puxico, daughter of William and Bertie M. Brimer Stapp. She and Willard Smith were married Jan. 14, 1934. He died Aug. 31, 1938. She later married Hadley T. Crawford Sept. 28, 1945, in Jonesboro, Ark. He died Dec. 22, 1969.

Crawford was a clerk at Puxico Post Office 35 years. She had lived in Puxico all her life until moving to Kansas City a year ago. She was a member of Puxico Christian Church and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Dykstra of Lees Summit; a stepson, Floyd Crawford of Puxico; a stepdaughter, Lavern Beal of Doniphan; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren, and 24 great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and six sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wiley McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
