Geneva Z. Haney, 86, of Columbia, Ill., died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, in Red Bud, Ill. She was born July 19, 1911, in Monterey, Tenn., daughter of Ben and Mattie Ledford Thompson. She married Glen Haney, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Reid of Cape Girardeau, Margaret Johanning of Maeystown, Ill., Bonnie Kannewurf of Columbia, Ill.; a sister, Vanna Berkbigler of Granite City, Ill.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter...

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo, Ill., from 4-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastors Robert Page and Jay McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Hiller Cemetery at Murphysboro, Ill.
