Geda Virginia Gelawick, 93, of Westminster, Md., formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1993, at her home.
She was born Jan. 3, 1900, in Oran, daughter of Albert and Emma Niswonger. She first married Herman Jacob Berhle, who preceded her in death. In 1966 she married Allen Gelawick, who also preceded her in death.
Gelawick had been a housekeeper at St. Vincent's Rectory in Cape Girardeau, and worked at International Shoe Co. in Perryville. She was a teacher at Millheim School in the 1920s.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Emmitsburg, Md., and Daughters of Isabella in Perryville.
Survivors include two daughters, Emmalene "Vickie" Knott of Cape Girardeau, Dennise Whittney of Westminster; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service and burial will be in Maryland.
