Gean Knotts

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Gean Knotts, daughter of the late Albert and Emma Statler Abraham, was born Feb. 28, 1927, in Hornersville, Missouri, and departed her life Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at the Chaffee Nursing Center at the age of 95.

On Aug. 22, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ervin Knotts in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He preceded her in death.

Gean was a homemaker. She was baptized in 1976 at the Church of God and joined the church Jan. 5, 1986.

Survivors include a son, Rick (Dava) Knotts of Marble Hill, Missouri; daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Shelton of Chaffee; three sisters, Wanda Healy, Mary Sue Brooks and Gretchen Wise, all of Coloma, Michigan; 19 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Gean was preceded in death by three sons, Gary, Ronald and Roger Knotts; and a daughter, Carolyn Stidham Knotts.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will then be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Rick Knotts officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Park Cemetery.
