DEXTER, Mo. -- Gaylan Collier, 57, of Dexter died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, in Doniphan, Mo.
He was born Feb. 16, 1943, at Commerce, Mo., son of Christopher Columbus and Ethel Mitchell Collier. He and Linda Long were married May 21, 1973, at Grayridge, Mo.
Collier was co-owner of Collier Co. Realty at Dexter, and administrator of Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Shannon, Jerry and Russ Collier of Dexter; four brothers, Edwin Collier of Kansas City, Mo., Richard Collier of Marble Hill, Mo., Ernest and Ronald Collier of Jackson, Mo.; a sister, Mary Tanner of Bernie, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
