VANDUSER -- Gay Carter, 68, of Vanduser, died Thursday, June 20, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Vanduser, daughter of William and Eula Hamby Vines. She and Bradley Carter were married Jan. 26, 1960. He died April 23, 1973.
Carter had been a seamstress and had done upholstery work.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Carter of Vanduser; two daughters, Sue Scott of Bell City, Carla Phillips of Vanduser; a stepson, Ernie Carter of Grand Prairie, Texas; a brother, William Vines of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Bernice Strosche of Milan, Ill., Bertha Truax of Sundance, Wyo.; two granddaughters, and three stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with Dan Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
