MOUNDS, Ill. -- Gary Walston, 64, of Reddington Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at his home.
He was the son of Kathryn Burris Gundersen and Malcolm "Slick" Walston. He and Nancy McCowan were married in 1960. He and Linda Anderson were married in 1996.
Walston attended Western Military Academy in Alton, Ill., and was a graduate of Mounds Township High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mounds.
He moved to Florida in 1996 from Southern California. He was president of Gulf Coast Audiology Inc. and was a real estate investor.
Walston served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Walston of Marion, Ill.; a daughter, Dawn Walston of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Art Walston of Cairo, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service was held at Anona United Methodist Church in Largo, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mounds.
