Gary Wayne Popp, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1960, in Arcadia, California, to Edward "Ebby" and Retha Whitaker Popp.
He and Patti Sample were married April 11, 2009, at Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3775.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, where he was baptized and confirmed.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Popp of Cape Girardeau; mother, Retha Popp of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kirsten (Andrew) Mott, Cassandra (Brandon) Kuehn and Maria (Brendan) Adams, all of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, David Popp of Cape Girardeau and Roger Popp of Fruitland; two sisters, Roxanna (Stan) Weber of Altenburg, Missouri, and Diane Parrish of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren, Brantley Mott and Evelyn Kuehn.
He was preceded in death by his father and son, Eric Charles Popp.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with Eagles' service at 7 p.m., Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Wavis Jordan and Larbo Eyler officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Research Institute.
