Gary Allen Davis, 46, of Jackson and formerly of Crump, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 18, 1973, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Gary was a 1992 graduate of Delta High School. He was a carpenter by trade, working many years for Carpenters Local 1770 in Cape Girardeau.

Gary loved to have a good time. He liked to barbeque, visit with family and friends, listen to rock music and play poker, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and canine companion, Thor.

Gary will be missed by his children, Josh, Sami, and Josie Davis, all of Jackson; parents, Susan (Terry) Green of Crump and Donald Davis of Cape Girardeau; siblings, John (Kelly) Davis of Crump, Terry Green Jr. and Angie (Aaron) Sanders, both of Cape Girardeau, and Susannah Grovenor of Fruitland. His extended family will miss his humor at future family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Niederbrock; grandparents, Henry and Josephine Holweg of Leopold, Missouri, Verona Loveda Davis of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Charles Robert Davis of Pevely, Missouri; and stepgrandparents, Ray and Jean Green.

Gary was able to give the gift of life through organ donation.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Proffer Cemetery in Crump.

To assist with funeral expenses, the family appreciates memorial contributions to McCombs Funeral Home.
