CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Garry Wayne McLard, 37, of Chaffee died Saturday, June 26, 2004, on State Highway M.
He was born Aug. 26, 1966, at Kennett, Mo., son of Mike and Genoa Williams McLard. He and Leslie Parker were married Oct. 26, 2002.
McLard was a maintenance manager at the QC Corp. in Cape Girardeau.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. His work during Operation Just Cause provided responsive support to the soldiers in Panama in 1990. During Desert Shield and Desert Storm, he was instrumental in starting up a briefing team at the Pentagon in 1991. He managed the performance of the graphic illustration team during Operation Desert Storm.
Survivors include his wife; his father; five stepsons, Collin James, Danny, David and Matthew Munn and Melvin Minks, all of Chaffee; two stepdaughters, Shashana Ramsey and Jackie Williams, both of Chaffee; a brother, William Cobb of Slidell, La.; a sister, Crystal Moore of Kennett, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Bob Murray officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
