ADVANCE, Mo. -- Garry Lee Hess, 51, of Advance died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 4, 1952, at Painton, Mo., son of Robert D. and Vilamae Spillman Hess Sr. He and Ronda Martin were married May 1, 1982, at Scott City.
Hess was parts manager at Nelson Tractor in Sikeston, Mo. He was a graduate of Bell City High School at Bell City, Mo., and of Diesel Mechanic School in Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Heather O'Dell of Ellsinore, Mo., Latasha Martin, Ashley Hess and Lindsay Hess, all of Advance; three brothers, Robert Hess Jr. of Bell City, Steve Hess of Lake Ozark, Mo., Huey Hess of Advance; four sisters, Lois Boley of Sikeston, Mo., Sandy McCall of Chaffee, Mo., Janet Bain of Fredericktown, Mo., Donna Johnson of Vanduser, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and four sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
