CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Garland Lemuel Buck, 92, of Charleston died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Commerce, Missouri, to John Lemuel and Erma Lillian Young Buck. He first married Lois Faye Smith and she preceded him in death May 17, 1970. He then married Viola Berniece Steinborn on April 28, 1973.
Garland was a farmer. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Commerce, past president of the Farm Bureau, chairman of the board of COOP, Scott County Levee Board.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Buck of Charleston; two stepdaughters, Patti Anderson and Frances Lemonds, both of St. Louis; and a grandson, Charles Pinkston.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, Missouri.
