Gail Hayden, 69, of Jackson passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021, at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born Aug. 30, 1951, in Middletown, Connecticut, to George and Violet Leveille Wheeler.
Gail and Mark Hayden were married June 12, 1998.
For 31 years Gail served her country in the Civil Service for the U.S. Navy. She enjoyed arts and crafts and had also worked at Jackson Walmart. She was a loving, caring and giving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and Christian. She will forever be remembered, missed and loved by all she touched. She will forever be our angel in heaven.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Hayden of Jackson; children, Michael (Lovi) Hayden, Coy (Joyce) Hayden, Matthew (Cheryl) Hayden, Mary Grace Hayden, Tanya Gunther and Marc Hayden; siblings, George (Camille) Wheeler, Charles (Chari) Wheeler, Thomas (Angie) Wheeler, Susan (Henry) Alvarez and Diane (Richard) Slobig; and grandchildren, Mikaela, Ryan, Cai, Rainier, Jyana, Alex, Jacob, Ian, Jenica, Xeyda and William.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
A graveside service will immediately follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Jerry Piper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
