GAIL D. HARRISON

SIKESTON -- Gail D. Harrison, 76, of Sikeston died Friday, June 14, 1996, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

He was born June 8, 1920, at Gideon, son of Eugene and Marie McNew Harrison.

He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a bookkeeper 24 years for the Pyramid Roofing Co. in Sikeston. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, where he was past president of the Senior Adult Group, "Magic." He was an active deacon and was recently elected as lifetime deacon emeritus. He was also the representative of the Charleston Baptist Association to the Missouri Baptist Home in Ironton.

He marred Dorothy Oakley on Oct. 12, 1940, in West Memphis, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Dotti Gardner of Matthews and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by a son and two sisters.

Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Dr. Jim Guffie officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dolan Rogers. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery where the Rev. Billie Fair will officiate at the interment.
