EAST PRAIRIE -- G. Peggy Cartwright, 72, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, April 15, 1997, in the East Prairie Nursing Center in East Prairie.
She was born Oct. 12, 1924, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of Richard Cripps and Lula M. Chapman Ainsworth. She married Earl Stanley Cartwright on Sept. 23, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1995.
She was a Pentecostal.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Page and Kathy Paro of East Prairie, and Judy Bailey of Mayfield, Ky.; seven sons, Michael Cartwright of Matthews, and Ronald, Ray, Bob, Billy, Fred and James Cartwright of East Prairie; one sister, Brenda Pendleton of Smyrna, Tenn.; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Bro. Mike Cartwright of the Canalou Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will be in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
