Fritzie Faye Jenkins, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at Life Care Center.
She was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Fond du Lac, Wis., daughter of John F. and Ruth E. Lyneis Touchette. She and Lt. Col. Carey B. Jenkins were married July 7, 1946, at Fort Francis E. Warren, Wyo. He died Jan. 23, 1964.
Jenkins was a graduate of Hollywood High School in Hollywood, Calif. She was a secretary in public schools in Fond du Lac 10 years and in Cape Girardeau 20 years. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1961 from Calvert, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Jenkins of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Nancy Wilson of Cape Girardeau; a brother, John Touchet of Winter Haven, Fla.; a sister, Sister Mary Agreda Touchett of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. The Rev. David Coon will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
