Frieda Augusta Pierce, 92, of Jackson died Friday, April 8, 2011, at Monticello House.
She was born Dec. 3, 1918, in Gale, Ill., to Andrew and Minnie Bartels Adams. She and Erby O. Pierce were married Sept. 16, 1952, in Elkton, Md. He died Jan. 5, 1973.
Pierce was of the Pentecostal belief.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Wright of Black Mountain, N.C.; two sons, James B. Pierce of Woodland, Miss., Edward Pierce of Cape Girardeau; a brother; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Ted Behr; two daughters, Bernice Wilson and Shirley Huth; three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association, Crown Hospice or to the family toward funeral expenses.
