ULLIN, Ill. -- Frieda I. Dickerson, 88, of Ullin died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at the home of a son in Ullin. She was born Aug. 3, 1909, in Alexander County, daughter of Henry and Marshlee Baldwin Smithey. She and J.P. Dickerson were married Aug. 3, 1927. He died June 10, 1961...
ULLIN, Ill. -- Frieda I. Dickerson, 88, of Ullin died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at the home of a son in Ullin.
She was born Aug. 3, 1909, in Alexander County, daughter of Henry and Marshlee Baldwin Smithey. She and J.P. Dickerson were married Aug. 3, 1927. He died June 10, 1961.
Dickerson was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Clinton and Richard Dickerson of Ullin; a brother, Guy Smithey of Anna; a sister, Jewel Hunter of Jonesboro; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin from 6-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
