POPLAR BLUFF -- Freota "Freddie" Prewitt, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 31, 1922, in Valmeyer, Ill. She and L.S. "Cotton" Prewitt were married March 8, 1947. He died July 25, 1995.
Prewitt served two years in the U.S. Marine Corps. She was a member of South Poplar Bluff General Baptist Church and American Legion Post 153.
Survivors include a son, Larry Prewitt of Springfield; three daughters, Lauren Prewitt of St. Louis, Kathy Sanders and Vicki Mayer of Fisk; her mother, Freda Billingsley of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Rosemary Prater of Longmont, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jeff Bralley and Paul Prater officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
