Freida Proffer

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Freida M. Proffer, 87, of Advance passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at NHC Nursing Facility in St. Charles, Mo.

She was born Aug. 6, 1925, in Bollinger County, daughter of Sherman and Lucy Davis Clark. She and Joe Proffer were married May 28, 1941, in Advance. He preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1984.

Freida attended the Church of Christ in Advance.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Proffer of Wentzville, Mo.; a daughter, Debbie Orf of St. Charles; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and a son, Gary.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dale Wiseman officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
