CHAFFEE -- Freeda Irene Statler, 72, of Chaffee, died Monday, March 4, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 14, 1923, in Arbor, daughter of Earnest Milford and Maggie Nolen Tidwell. She and Jacob Glenn Statler were married June 28, 1952.
Statler retired from the fitting room at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau, and was involved in its women's ministries and nursing home ministries.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gailene Statler of Chaffee; two sisters, Jewel Tidwell of Chaffee and Charity Tidwell of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today, and Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau from 9 a.m. to service time.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Gary Brothers and Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
