CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Freeda Miller, 96, of Chaffee passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Tamms, Illinois, to the late George and Osee Crocker Harvell. She married James Talmadge Miller on Feb. 20, 1939, and he preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1987.
Freeda was a member of Chaffee General Baptist Church in Chaffee. She loved to garden and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Virginia Miller of Chaffee; three grandchildren, David (Christi) Miller, Jackie (Mark) Benefield and Shellie (Roger) Seyer, all of Chaffee; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Miller; three brothers; and four sisters.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will be at McCrites Cemetery at Tamms.
