SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Freda E. Lynn, 74, of Springfield, and formerly of Scott City, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.
She was born Sept. 8, 1924, at Black Oak, Ark., to Sam and Flossie Austin Underwood.
She had been an executive secretary for the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington, D.C.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, and the National Ballroom Dancers Association.
She served as a yeoman second class Navy WAVE during World War II.
Survivors include her mother, Flossie Tidwell of Springfield; a daughter, Emily Johnson of Springfield; and a brother, Cletis Underwood of Springfield.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial will follow at Camp Butler Cemetery. The Interveteran Burial Detail will conduct graveside military honors.
