Freda Aleta Clark, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Sept. 4, 1906, at Millersville, Mo., daughter of Fritz F. and Lottie J. Wilkinson Hersinger. She and Jewell B. Clark were married Feb. 16, 1935, at Benton, Mo. He died Oct. 18, 1991...

Freda Aleta Clark, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Sept. 4, 1906, at Millersville, Mo., daughter of Fritz F. and Lottie J. Wilkinson Hersinger. She and Jewell B. Clark were married Feb. 16, 1935, at Benton, Mo. He died Oct. 18, 1991.

Clark was a machinist at International Shoe Co. The Clarks owned and operated Clark's Drive-in Florist.

She was a member of St. Mark Order of Eastern Star Chapter 167, White Shrine, and Amaranth, and had been a musician for all three. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a niece, Jean Blechle of Cape Girardeau, and a nephew, Glenwood Blechle and wife, LaDonna, of Fruitland, Mo.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Eastern Star services will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Miles H. White will officiate, with burial in Cape County Memorial Park.
