FREDA B. OLIVER

EAST PRAIRIE -- Freda B. Oliver, 81, formerly of Chaffee, died Monday, April 13, 1998, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 29, 1916, daughter of Harvey and Stella Jennings Griffith. She and Henry Oliver were married July 12, 1968. He died May 29, 1975.

Oliver had lived in East Prairie most of her life, and was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church.

Survivors include three stepsons, Henry Oliver of Wright City, Thomas Oliver of Granite City, Ill., and Lonnie Oliver of Cuba; a stepdaughter, Evelyn Allstun of Granite City; two sisters, Juanita Slinkard of Scott City and Helen Tharp of Kansas City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, a stepdaughter and a sister.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with James A. Bolden officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
