JACKSON -- Funeral for Fred R. Wilkinson of Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Revs. John Goff and Ronald Collier will officiate. Entombment will be later in Wisconsin Memorial Park Mausoleum and Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 10-11 a.m.
Wilkinson, 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at his home.
He was born Oct. 29, 1918, at Bessville, son of Elzie and Silvia Greer Wilkinson.
Wilkinson lived in Milwaukee many years. He was a car salesman 25 years, was a watch repairman, and had been a security guard at Badger Bank, retiring in 1988. He moved to Jackson in late 1997.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include four cousins, Velma Polen and Juanita Robins of Jackson, Byrdine Mills of Sikeston, and Betty Akins of Florida.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
