PERRYVILLE -- Fred W. Boxdorfer, 97, of Perryville, died Friday, June 5, 1998, at Perry County Nursing Home.
He was born June 7, 1900, in Perry County, son of George C. and Mary Rodewald Boxdorfer.
He married Edna Marie Klobe on July 27, 1922. She died Jan. 2, 1984.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
He was a retired farmer and truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Floyd Boxdorfer of Perryville and Roy Lee Boxdorfer of Arnold; three daughters, Hallie Pourney, Wilda Favier and Margie Hudson, all of Perryville; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.
