FRED J. HEQUEMBOURG

SIKESTON -- Fred J. Hequembourg, 72, of Sikeston, died Thursday, March 4, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born March 19, 1920, in Charleston, son of M.B. and Nannie Favors Hequembourg. He and Katherine Hart were married Jan. 13, 1943, at Charleston.

Hequembourg was a mail carrier 25 years with Charleston Post Office, retiring in 1977. He attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and was a member of Charleston KC Council. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steve Hequembourg of Naperville, Ill., Don Hequembourg of Charleston; a daughter Lana Hart of Sikeston; a sister, Mary Fields of Charleston, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Mike Swalina will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
