PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Fred C. Hughey, 87, of Perryville died Friday, May 4, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 16, 1913, at Seventy Six, Mo., son of Joseph Frank and Bertha Triutt Hughey. He and Geraldine Bangert were married April 5, 1947.
Hughey retired as a Diesel mechanic with Mississippi Lime Co. in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. He was a past booster member of American Legion Post 133, and Quarry Workers Union.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Gail Ochs of Cape Girardeau, Sandra Picou of Ozora, Mo., Brenda George of Calhoun, Mo.; a son, Larry Hughey of Clinton, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, six brothers, a sister and a grandson.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dennis Cebulak will officiate. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
