Fred Barnard IV

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — Fred Merrick Barnard IV, 53, of Blytheville died Monday, June 5, 2023, in Blytheville.

He was born Feb. 15, 1970, in Blue Island, Illinois, to Fred Merrick Barnard III and Barbara Jean Sitton Barnard. He and Kimberly Ann Hinze were married June 29, 1996, in Cape Girardeau.

Fred was a 1988 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He was a project electrician with NUCOR Steel Arkansas in Hickman, Arkansas.

Fred enjoyed investing in guns, playing golf and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Barnard of Blytheville; parents, Fred Barnard III and Barbara Barnard of Jackson; three sons, Joshua Floyd of Cape Girardeau, Eric James Barnard of Jackson and Sgt. James Michael Barnard of Fort Liberty, North Carolina; daughter, Jenna Renee Barnard of Suffolk, Virginia; two sisters, Barbara Kathleen Doan of Cape Girardeau and Sandra Kay MacInnes of St. Louis; four granddaughters; and one grandson.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
