JONESBORO, Ill. -- Fred A. "Red" Harvel, 60, of Jonesboro, died suddenly Thursday, June 30, 1994, at Mesquite Community Hospital in Mesquite, Texas.
He was born June 29, 1934, in Mill Creek, son of Harry and Bessie Davis Harvel. He and Connie L. Rose were married Oct. 4, 1952, in Carlsbad, N.M.
Harvel was a contractor, electrician and auctioneer. He was a member of IBEW Local in Carlsbad.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Charles and Jeff Harvel of Jonesboro, Clyde Harvel of Anna, Bobby Harvel of Melissa, Texas; two daughters, Lynda Mull of Jonesboro, Jennifer Harvel of Hopkinsville, Ky.; three brothers, Chuck Harvel of Mill Creek, Lloyd Harvel of Anna, Jim Harvel of Westerville, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Mitchell of Dongola, Hazel Delansky of Arkansas, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Kern officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
