CHARLESTON -- Fred Anderson Davis, 57, of St. Louis, died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992, at his home.
He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Mississippi County, son of Anderson and Goldie Opal Oliver Davis. He and Rita Fay Paskel were married April 22, 1961.
Davis was retired from Cupples Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis. He moved to St. Louis in 1956 from Charleston.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Fred Davis Jr. and Fairin Davis of Tallapoosa; two daughters, Marlie and Aleshia Davis of Tallapoosa; his father of Birch Tree; three sisters, Shirley Jefferies of Sikeston, Pat Saunders of Birch Tree, Betty Crowley of Charleston, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bill Meeks will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
