Franklin John Sander Jr., 77, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Cape Girardeau to Franklin John Sr. and Margaret Wiseman Sander. He and Shirley Pruitt were married July 3, 1993, at Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death Nov. 5, 2012.
Franklin served in the National Guard. He retired from Hutson's Fine Furniture as warehouse manager. He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 3775.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Wills of Cape Girardeau and Debbie (Mark) Westrich of Chaffee, Missouri; two sons, John and Scott Sander; four grandchildren, Tony Borgfield, Emily McLendon and Shara and Amanda Courtaway; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Tommy and Kenny Sander.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brett Cheek officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Military rites will be provided by the Missouri Honors Team.
