FRANKLIN R. RHODES

MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Franklin R. Rhodes of Maryland Heights will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Plainview Methodist Church near here. The Rev. Luther Rhodes will officiate, with burial in Plainview Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

Rhodes, 78 years old, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1991, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood.

He was born April 26, 1912, at Marble Hill, son of John and Mary Denton Rhodes. He and the former Mildred Smith were married June 25, 1935. Rhodes was a custodian at Riverview Gardens School District.

Survivors include his wife; four grandchildren, Laura Griffin of High Ridge, Lori Tipton of South Carolina, Susan Rhodes of Miami, Fla., Franklin Rhodes of Louisiana, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, brother and seven sisters.
