Franklin "Don" Powell, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born May 31, 1941, in Gadsden, Ala., son of Ollie and Bertha Hanna Powell. He married Theresa Eve Musgrave.
Powell retired from Noranda Aluminum. He was owner and manager of Muddy Waters.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scottie Powell of Little Rock, Ark., Nicky Powell of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Donette Clark of New Madrid, Mo.; four brothers, Clark Powell of Ohio, Fred Powell of Kentucky, Bill Powell of Tennessee, Milton Powell of Sikeston, Mo.; two sisters, Christene Mays of Lilbourn, Mo., Lorene Dinenie of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.
