COBDEN, Ill. -- Franklin Delano Trexler, 63, of Cobden, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1933, at Alto Pass, son of William and Bertha Fisher Trexler. He and Geneva Sims were married Aug. 24, 1953, in Murphysboro.
Trexler was a retired truck driver and had served in the U.S. Armed Services during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sherry Trexler of Cobden and Elizabeth Trexler of Carbondale; four sons, Thomas Franklin Trexler of Cobden and Ricky Wayne Trexler, Jackie Ray Trexler and Marshall Allen Trexler, all of Hardeville, S.C.; a sister, Ida Yoho of Ware; two brothers, Charles Trexler of Jonesboro and Donald Trexler of Ware; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. Monday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. Joe McKinnes will officiate with burial at Alto Pass Cemetery.
