Frank T. "Springie" Springmeyer, 84, of 105 N. Clark died Friday, May 7, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 30, 1909 in Elvins, son of Conrad Henry and Alice Pratt Springmeyer.
He was employed as a truck driver for Cauble & Field for more than 25 years.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ and the Elks Club.
He first married Marjorie Springmeyer Fowler, who survives of Cape Girardeau. He then married Dorthea Ada Rafferty, who preceded him in death.
Also surviving are three sons, Harry Springmeyer of Charlotte, N.C., Bradley Springmeyer of St. Louis and Roger Springmeyer of Hong Kong; five daughters, Pat Kleinschmidt of Imperial, Susan Maxwell of West Plains, Marilynn Melton of Cape Girardeau, Judy Whitford of Columbia, and Dottie Sides of Canton, Ohio; one sister, Marjorie Boswell of Shawnee, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Caughlan officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
