Frank James Stinnett Jr., 70, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born Jan. 13, 1925, at Sturgis, Ky., son of Frank James Stinnett Sr. and Myrtle Elizabeth Hight Stinnett. He and Mary Back were married in 1942 at St. Louis.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946 and was a member of the American Legion Post 63 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Frank Stinnett III of Cape Girardeau and Anthony Stinnett of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Jane Sides of Nashville, Tenn., and Wanda Smith of Van Buren; a brother, Woodrow Stinnett of Madisonville, Ky.; a sister, Margie Downs of Princeton, Ky.; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Tom Morris will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
