Frank Smith

ADVANCE, Mo. — Luther "Frank" Smith, 95, of Advance died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Dyer, Tenn., son of Emmett and Euna Belle Thompson Smith. He and Earlene Smith were married Oct. 21, 1939, in Lepanto, Ark. She died Feb. 9, 2004.

Smith was a farmer.

Survivors include four sons, Frankie Smith of Marble Hill, Mo., Jimmy Smith of Jackson, Calvin and Keith Smith of Advance; a daughter, Patricia Ann Smith of Advance; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a grandson, a great-grandson, a brother, and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
