EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Frank Peyton of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Paul Lathum will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Peyton, 86, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born March 3, 1909, in New Madrid County, son of Mack and Ruby Ann Anderson Peyton. He and Lila Mae Essary were married in 1939. She died Oct. 23, 1970. He and Gladys Karr Tenkhoff were married in 1981.
Peyton was a retired farmer. He was a member of Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in East Prairie, and Masonic Lodge 407 AF&AM in Charleston.
Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Alma Galemore of Sikeston; a sister, Sallie Gentry of Bertrand, and two stepgrandsons.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
