Funeral for Frank James of Lone Oak, Ky., was held Monday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home in Lone Oak. Paul Phelps officiated. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in McCracken County, Ky.

James, 79, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

A native of Paducah, he was the son of Frank and Johnnie Johnson James.

James was a retired pharmaceutical salesman for Kolb Brothers Drug Co. and Delta Drug Co. He was a former member of Lone Oak Kiwanis Club.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Schmidt; a daughter, Julie Kolb of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Kerry, Michael and Steven James, all of Paducah; two brothers, Charles and Huie James of St. Louis; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
