Frank Bursi

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Frank A. Bursi, 91, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Elmcroft of Quintessence in Albuquerque.

He was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Bassignana, Italy, to Francesco and Marina Pagella Burzi.

Frank lived in Cape Girardeau from 1960 until 2016, at which time he moved to Albuquerque to be near family.

He had worked for the Drury's as a master tile setter and retired from Drury Development Corporation.

He attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his two nephews, Charles Bursi of Albuquerque and Giuseppe (Tiziana) Burzi of Costa Masnaga, Italy; four great-nieces, Linda (Phillip) Jones, Laura (Matt) Cobb, Lisa (Elisha) Godfrey and Valentina (Marco) Berti; one great-nephew, Andrea Burzi; four great-great nieces, Kelsi Jones, Reagan Jones, Macy Cobb and Mia Cobb, and two great-great nephews, Caleb Jones and Beckett Cobb.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Bursi and Giovanni Burzi.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Francisco Gordillo officiating.

Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent's Christian Service.
