Francisca A. "Francis" Allen, 74, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 25, 1929, in San Carlos City, Philippines, daughter of Marciano and Francis Mendoza Alfar. She married John W. Allen. Their union of marriage lasted over half of a century...

Francisca A. "Francis" Allen, 74, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 25, 1929, in San Carlos City, Philippines, daughter of Marciano and Francis Mendoza Alfar. She married John W. Allen. Their union of marriage lasted over half of a century.

Loving survivors include her husband; three sons, Eliseo "Butch" Allen of Oakland, Calif., Kerry A. Allen of Jackson, Edward M. Allen of Daytona, Fla.; three daughters, Ludi Headrick of Jackson, Eva Allen-Pade of Orlando, Fla., Amparro Allen-Lee of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Barbara Alfar of the Philippines; three nieces and a nephew whom she raised, Sally, Tessie, Minmin and Chuck; eight grandchildren, two whom she raised, Roxanne and T.J.; six great-grandchilren; her cousin, Gloria and husband Tony of Nevada; and a dear friend, Mary Keller of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.

Francis attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson and was very devoted to daily rosaries in her home.

Family and friends may call at the Allen home at 827 Corinne St. in Jackson after 5 p.m. Sunday and at any hour Monday and Tuesday and until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
