FRANCIS P. WHITESIDE

STE. GENEVIEVE -- Francis P. "Frank" Whiteside of Ste. Genevieve died Saturday, May 30, 1998, at the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was 79.

Funeral was June 2 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Richard Thur officiating. Burial was in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery.

Basler Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

He was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Neely's Landing, son of Alvis and Hazel Brown Whiteside. He married Geraldine Bullard June 19, 1948, in Ste. Genevieve. She survives.

He also is survived by a son, Gary Whiteside of Ste. Genevieve; a brother, Bill Whiteside of Perryville; and a sister, Lillian Martin of Ste. Genevieve.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and two brothers.

He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 150 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
