EAST PRAIRIE -- Service for Francis L. ("Whitey") Housman will be held at the Shelby Funeral Chapel here Monday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Raymond Hannah, pastor of Diehlstadt General Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Housman, 59 years old, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990.
He was born Nov. 22, 1930 near Wyatt, son of Walter and Mamie Boitnott Housman.
Housman lived in Mississippi County his entire life, and was owner and operator of Whitey's Fish Market in East Prairie.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Douglas Housman.
Other survivors include three sons, Delbert Housman and Bryan Housman, both of Sikeston, Keith Housman of Mounds, Ill.; daughter, Vickie Johnston of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Louise Pierce of Charleston and Martha Coker, Wyatt; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son and one sister.
